These release notes describe the improvements to the TimeEdit SOAP API. The changes are released in the Test environments first, and Production follows according to the release schedule usually one week after.
Integration
Extensions, improvements or fixes for the TimeEdit SOAP API.
Technical details are available in the developer changelog.
More stable response times during high load
When an integration sends many requests at the same time, the SOAP API now spreads the load more evenly so that the service stays responsive for everyone. If an integration sends more requests than can be handled at the moment, the extra requests get the response HTTP 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After time. The request has not been carried out and can safely be sent again.
Most integrations will not notice any difference. We still recommend checking that your integration retries after the given time and waits a bit longer between each new attempt (retry with backoff).
If someone else maintains your integration, please pass this on to them.
Security
The SOAP API has been upgraded to newer versions of Java and the underlying libraries. There are no changes to the API itself.
